The Lost Burger Review - From June 2012

Where:
Beach Haven Fishery,
Long Beach Island, NJ
(609) 492 4388
The Old Man and The Sea Burger.

Build:
1/2 pound 100% Black Angus beef – deep fried – yes, you heard right, deep fried. American cheese, sautéed white onion, huge Brazilian shrimp sautéed in a blue cheese & butter sauce, and the whole thing served on a fresh, house made ciabatta roll pan-fried in garlic butter.

Comments:
I’m not sure how I lost this review, but for some reason it never made it from my computer to the blog. I guess I never hit the "post" button, or maybe Jim didn't like it. Either way, I'm glad to be able to share this burger with you now... it was an innovative burger creation which was pure decadence at the time of my original review.
I have no idea where the name of this burger originated, but every so often we are lucky enough to taste a burger that blows us away... and after the Beach Haven Fishery's "You're Not Scaring Me" Burger (June 2012), I was lucky enough to sample this great creation from Chef "Magic" Mike...

This was obviously not Chef Mike's first Rodeo – although deep-fried, there was nothing greasy here, and the flavors were bouncing around like a BB in a boxcar. Yes, lightning struck me twice in one day at the BHF. This perfectly cooked medium-rare beauty easily slides into home, with a 10 out of 10 on the BC rating scale.

You just can't make this stuff up, and quite frankly, I don't believe I've done this burger justice with mere words, so I'm going to let my photos do the talking on this one...

No, those aren't scalloped potatoes on top, they are sauteed onion slices in a blue cheese and butter sauce...
