#Mhambc Day 22 - Friendships

"The Power of Friendship": From the image below, please tell us how the power of friendship helps you maintain hope.

Friendship is EVERYTHING!!  I have gained so many valuable friendships on this journey. Yesterday, I attended the the American Headache & Migraine Association's 3rd Annual Conference in Washington, D.C.  I was elated that it was in my neck of the woods this year. A quick 50 minute drive to the venue and I was finally able to hug the people I have only known through blogging, email and social media.  Not only did I learn a great deal from the doctors and specialists that spoke on a variety of Migraine and Headache topics, I finally was able commune in a physical place with my Migraine family.  The amount of support, understanding, love, compassion, and HOPE that filled the conference room was overwhelmingly amazing.  If I could have bottled it up I would have because everyone in this world needs to know how wonderful that feels.  I wouldn't have gotten this far without the support from other Migraine and Headache disorder patients, who like myself, thrive on the camaraderie and inclusion of being part of a group of people who experience similar peaks and valleys.  Our friendships grow hope among each other.  By staying connected to each other, hope flourishes and spills over into other areas of our lives touching others and bringing light and love wherever it goes.

The Migraine and Headache Awareness Month Blog Challenge is organized by the American Headache and Migraine Association.

Migraine Buddy Giveaway is still open.
