If I'm on honest i never really knew how to use a Skin Illuminator. But.... now i so do know how to use them, thank you 'You Tube'.
These days foundations and primers some times can have skin illuminator within the product. Skin illuminators give the face a brightening effect that some times a foundation can not do alone.
Skin illuminate-ers come in powder, cream, mousse, etc. L'Oréal, Me Me Me, and other brands make them - it's like make up with tiny particles that reflect light.
For the days where my skin is looking dull and needs a bit of a pick me up, and days where I'm feeling slightly lazy with my make up a illuminator is my ideal fixer.

The applicator is easy to use, you just twist the brush and squeeze the product out, the brush itself is pretty soft. I personally don't use the brush but it's not so bad. I squeeze the illuminator out on to the back of my hand.
Sometimes i mix it in to my foundation or i use it under my foundation across my forehead, T-zone, cheeks, cupids bow and chin. It gives a lovely subtle glow and leaves my skin looking glowy, dewy and youthful, without making it appear oily or greasy. It's very natural looking and doesn't create that awful goldy-yellow shiny complexion that leaves people looking jaundiced. I finish with a little powder over the top of my foundation to set my look. It lasts the majority of the day with a primer underneath. Its such a lovely product i couldn't be without it.
The Peach Illuminator works well mixed in with My Foundation (Max Factor Weightless) and various BB Creams. It looks great on top of fake tan and the days where i am not sporting a tan i mix just a tiny bit of the product in with my foundation or i just use it to highlight certain areas of my face.
I have not worn the Pink Illuminator as yet. I would say it defiantly would suit pale skin tones. I also think it would make a great highlight for all skin tones.
But personally i think i will be using with and with out fake tan on.

In the swatch i could see slight shimmer, the more it was sheered out the shimmer was no where to be seen. I would also say the Pink seems a little less noticeable than the Peach. However i like the effect of both of the shades.
It's definitely a repurchase i can't imagine life with out it.
